Christian Learning Centers of the Upstate ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Released Time is a program with Liberty Middle School where the students are transported to Calumet Baptist Church for Bible study and fellowship during the school day. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our 8 Program Objectives To provide Biblical instruction to public school students. To encourage public school students to respond to God's love in a positive way. To provide prayer opportunities for public school students. To provide opportunities for the development of Christian mentoring and peer relationships. To help equip Christian students as they witness and minister to fellow classmates. To encourage and involve parents in personal Bible study with their children. To provide the opportunity for believers to work together regardless of church affiliation, to spread the gospel and minister to others. To provide spiritual and professional growth situations for those involved in this ministry. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Led by Iris Jordan, the Released Time program is in its sixth year at Calumet Baptist Church. The class study includes Bible study, films, and character building classes. Last school year, we had 34 students enrolled. Of those 34, five have been saved, and fourteen have rededicated their lives.
Mission Statement The mission of the Christian Learning Centers or the Upstate, Inc. is to transform the moral character of the students in our public schools by introducing them to Jesus Christ and teaching them sound Biblical Truth. |
